A little about me..

I founded Kaptured by Katie in October 2021, when my son was just one year old. After 13 years in retail, I knew I wanted more — more time with my young family, and a career that allowed me to be present for the moments that matter most.

Photography became that path. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a passion for capturing genuine connection and preserving the memories that mean the most. I wanted to create something special for others — images that aren’t just seen, but felt, and proudly displayed in their homes for years to come.

Weddings were always the dream, but I knew I wanted to step into that space feeling confident and ready to take on such an important role. In August 2023, I was given the opportunity to photograph my very first wedding… and from that moment, everything changed.

Since then, I haven’t looked back. Weddings have truly captured my heart — the emotion, the energy, the once-in-a-lifetime moments — and it’s an honour I never take lightly being trusted to document such a meaningful day.

I’m incredibly proud to have recently been named #2 Highly Commended in the Wide Bay & Burnett region at the Australian Wedding Industry Awards, a reflection of the passion and care I pour into every wedding I capture.
